"We are writing to provide a reference for Brisbane Builders and Renovators and Mr Gary Day the owner of the company with respect to the construction of the residence. The subject residence is our family home that was constructed in 2009. We occupied it at the beginning of 2010. Its is a two storey house on a 400 square metre block of land in a demolition conrol precinct that required rehabilitation and incorporation of a single level 1880's style cottage as part of the streetscape. The construction of the house was complicated by the derelict state of the old cottage and limited site access. Despite the complexity of the task Brisbane Builders and Renovators completed the construction of the house within the agreed time frame. The new construction comprised a modern residence with four bedroom architecturally designed to maximise the potential of the site and articulated in plan for natural light and ventilation. Therefore the construction can be best described as bespoke requiring careful attention to detail. As a result the building frame was purpose built by Mr Gray Day and his team to suit the profiles, dimensions and details provided by the architect and the engineer to very tight tolerances.
Having lived in the completed residence for 18 months we are delighted with the quakity and performance of the finished product. The house has been enjoyed and admired by many family and friends who have visited and stayed with us. The watertighness and integrity of construction has been tested and proven during a year of extreme weather conditions. The most pleasing aspects of the servoces provided by Brisbane Builders and Renovators was the post construction care and services to rectify the various cosmetic defects that were noted during the early stages of occupancy. Mr Day and his team have taken a lot of pride in the quality of theproduct and have promptly attended to maintenance matters to prevent their recurrence.
